The Garden Design Process

Greenhayes Garden Design offers a complete range of design services

Each garden is unique and may contain all or some of the stages of the design process

The process begins with an initial visit with you to fully understand your requirements and expectations.

This visit is followed up with a written quotation for the required design work.

Design Brief Consultation

In my view, This is the most important part of the process where we establish what you want from your garden.

Site Survey

To provide accurate data of the site on which the design is based.

Concept Design

A first draft sketch for you to review and add your thoughts

Detailed Outline Plan

A complete detailed plan is developed from the concept design to help you visualise your completed garden. This drawn to scale and presented to you with an explanation of all the features

Planting Plans

I will specify planting in accordance with your wishes and appropriate for the site.

Tendering & Garden Build

I prepare a scope of works and construction detail drawings as required and will meet with local landscapers on site enabling them to quote accurately for the work.

Maintenance Plans

Specific to your garden and its plants this plan will help you or your maintenance contractor keep your garden looking as it was intended.

Project Management

I can regularly liaise with your landscaper to oversee the construction of the garden.

Mentoring Design Days

Ideal for those who want to design their garden themselves. I offer you a basic introduction to garden design principles; a walk through your garden; site & soil analysis & how to choose the right plants. Ideal as a gift. Gift cards are available
